Therapuetic Approach
Zoe works integratively and applies various therapy models and approaches according to the needs of the individual and their presenting issues; including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Humanistic Therapy. Zoe has also completed further training in Gottman (Level 1) and trauma therapies – Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Flash Technique (FT) and Brainspotting (Phase 1).
Zoe works with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship and work-related difficulties, grief and loss and personal development. Zoe is trauma-informed and is interested in the mind-body connection and the importance of holistic therapy for emotional health. This has led to her learning more about body-based approaches including EFT/tapping, energy psychology, mindfulness and meditation practices and yoga to help inform her practice.
Zoe believes in working collaboratively and respectfully and is committed to ensuring that the therapy meets the unique needs of each person to help promote overall well-being.
Background
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Zoe moved to London where she lived for 20 years, started a family and her career journey as a counselling psychologist before relocating with her husband and 2 children to Singapore 2 years ago.
Zoe has over 12 years of experience within the mental health field, working with a range of difficulties with children to older adults in a variety of psychological services in central London, within the NHS and the private sector, including schools, GP clinics, hospitals and in private practice. Since arriving in Singapore she has worked in private practice.
In her free time, Zoe enjoys learning ballet, yoga, reading, walks in nature and spending time with her family and friends.
