Training and Clinical Experience
Having worked in both the United Kingdom and Singapore, Wan Qing (also known as Spring) is a UK-trained Clinical Psychologist who supports children, young people, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has experience working across community mental health services, special education schools, specialist child assessment centres, and inpatient settings, including oncology, psychiatric intensive care, and maternal mental health units.
Spring supports individuals facing a range of challenges, including low mood, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and trauma. She also works closely with families to support individuals with neurodivergent profiles, recognising the importance that relationships and environments play in wellbeing.
Known for her warm and down-to-earth therapeutic style, Spring creates a safe and supportive space where individuals feel empowered to express themselves. She adopts an integrative approach tailored to each individual’s needs, drawing on evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). She works collaboratively with individuals and/or their families to develop personalised treatment plans that fosters meaningful change and growth
Personal Information
As a firm believer in the scientist–practitioner model, Spring is passionate about bridging the gap between clinical practice and research. She currently holds a full-time faculty position at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and is committed to contributing to the broader psychological community through both teaching and research.
