Therapuetic Approach
With a keen interest in people wellness and psychology, Radhika has over 12 years’ experience of working in this field, primarily with adults. Prior to working at TOC, Radhika had extensive work experience in Singapore as an EAP counsellor with clients from the tech and finance sectors, in parallel to private clients.
Having broad experience working with individuals, couples, and groups, she focuses on a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, work related issues, parenting, women’s issues, insomnia, life transitions and relationships.
Radhika has a special interest in maternal mental health and works with new mothers, new dads and mum’s to be on a wide variety of issues like mood issues, transitioning to parenthood, miscarriages and loss, NICU baby support, being a working parent, parenting and relationship support after having a baby. She is one of the few therapists in Asia currently with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
She helps people make peace with their thoughts and emotions through counselling. When suffering, it is sometimes necessary to slow down and stop pushing – she offers a safe and confidential space for you to find your inner wisdom and do that. Radhika uses an integrative and trauma informed approach in her work, using tools from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Emotion Focused Couple’s Therapy (EFCT Level 1), Gottman (Level 1) and Circle of Security Parenting.
She is also a certified Yoga Instructor. She offers counselling in both English and Hindi.
Radhika provides clinical supervision to counsellors as well.
Background
Being an expat herself, and having lived and worked in Singapore, New York and India, Radhika has a multi-cultural perspective and understanding of the challenges of an expat life.
She became a new mother in the midst of the pandemic leading to a unique perspective of the struggle many people are facing in these challenging times.
Radhika enjoys reading and yoga and is the founder of a book club for therapists!
