Qualifications and Training
Lucie is a French Clinical Psychologist with a Master and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical psychology and Psychopathology from the University of Paris. She also received a certification in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Therapeutic approach
Lucie has 10 years of experience working in public and private health sectors, first in France and then Singapore for the last 4 years, which allowed her to work with people of all ages coming from a wide diversity of cultural and religious heritage.
As her main foundation, Lucie uses science-based approaches: Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Through a better understanding and action on the behavioural (our actions), cognitive (our thoughts) and affective (our emotions) dimensions, Lucie helps individual understands their pattern of functioning and the values that are most important to them. This increased awareness of one’s own journey, mechanisms, and life drive, is the cornerstone supporting further improvement and ultimately leading to committed, deep and long-lasting changes.
Client-centered, Lucie aims at helping people to reduce their distress, develop a better quality of life, support them through hard times, and promote their personal growth so they are empowered to live authentic and meaningful lives.
Working with adults online
Motives for therapy are varied and can include increasing understanding of oneself, reducing pain and suffering, coping with a challenging event, relational difficulties, work exhaustion, stress and anxiety, depression, grief, emotional difficulties, low self-esteem, identity questioning, sleep issues…
To help you make the most of your sessions, Lucie adapts all her therapeutic interventions and tools to fit the online format and can use handy digital tools like whiteboard to increase immersion and facilitate communication.
Lucie has extensive experience of working with teens and young people and is offering a “moving to university” service.
Personal
Lucie lived in France, Canada, the US and 4 years in Singapore before relocating to Brighton in the UK.
Lucie is inspired by research in psychology, sociology and neuroscience that are exploring the keys to well-being and the science behind happiness, compassion, resiliency, and purpose. She finds it essential to apply these findings in therapeutic work to promote a thriving and resilient society.
