Experience
Johanna is a child and adolescent psychotherapist and completed her training in Germany, where she earned her diploma and doctorate. She has a wide range of experience working in various clinical settings in the German health care system and has gained extensive experience treating a variety of disorders over the years. However, a particular interest of her work has always been the relationship between mental health and school (school refusal, behavioural or learning difficulties, ADHD).
Assessments
Johanna provides comprehensive psychological assessment for children and teens. She works with a range of neurodiverse presentations including dyslexia, ADHD, learning difficulties and autistic condition.
Therapeutic approach
Johanna provides comprehensive psychological assessment for children, teens and young adults. A comprehensive view of the client is important to Johanna, so she always explores resources and strengths in addition to problem behaviour. Furthermore, she includes the observations of other family members or the behaviour in other contexts (e.g. school).
Next to Assessment, Johanna offers therapy and counselling for children, adolescents and parents with various mental health issues like anxiety, depression, school refusal, behavioural problems or problems related with the lack of self-esteem. The basis of her therapeutic approach are the elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, yet she also includes elements of ACT or systemic therapy in order to support the families best.
Personal Information
Johanna recently relocated to Singapore together with her family. She loves to explore everything which Singapore has to offer – especially food, culture and all the possibilities in the outdoors.
