Apart from her training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E) by the University of Oxford, she provides therapy using approaches from Schema Therapy, Attachment-focused Therapy, ACT, DBT, and CBT. Annelise specialises in treating eating disorders and disordered eating behaviours. She works with a multidisciplinary team (e.g. GPs, psychiatrists, dieticians) across both public and private mental health settings.
Annelise is experienced working with both local and expat individuals and families.
She has a realistic understanding of the pressures and challenges faced by individuals in corporate work settings. Other than individual sessions, Annelise has provided mental wellness workshops and trainings for corporate organisations.
Therapy Approaches
Annelise has a gentle presence and enjoys working with individuals struggling with mood and anxiety issues, OCD, unhealthy relationship patterns, low self-esteem, and body image issues. Annelise places a huge emphasis on building a comfortable, non-judgmental, and trusting environment where individuals could understand the root of their issues and work on finding ways to create a meaningful life.
Professional roles
Outside of clinical work, Annelise lectures at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), teaching Psychology modules to undergraduates. Annelise is also a strong believer in mental health advocacy and education. She conducts mental wellness talks and engages in media interviews to combat social stigma around mental health issues.
