Therapeutic Approach
Aimee is committed to providing a safe space for clients to discuss and explore their concerns. She adopts a client centred approach, working in collaboration with each client by using elements of various evidence-based approaches according to the clients needs. She draws on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
Aimee supports individuals experiencing depression, relationship difficulties, anxiety, grief, stress, poor self-esteem and other emotional dysregulation concerns.
Originally from South Africa, Aimee has been living in Singapore for the past 10 years. Prior to training as a Counsellor, she spent 8 years working in the recruitment industry in Singapore. Throughout this time, she became keenly aware of the challenges and unique pressures the Singapore landscape can impose on both the local and expatriate communities. After becoming a mom, Aimee also quickly understood the difficulties of raising a family and navigating the transition to parenthood whilst living away from the ‘luxuries’ of a home support network.
