Research has shown that online therapies can produce outcomes and benefits similar to those of traditional in person interventions. It is accessible, enables the client to get support in their own home, its time effective in the working week, particularly now many people are traveling regularly for work. It is delivered with the same care and attention of an in-person session. Whilst telehealth has benefits for many it may not be suitable for everyone. With this in mind we try to have a quick screening process to determine if we can help you online or whether you would be better helped with a face-to-face session. We know those with risk of harm, serious psychiatric experiences, eating disorders or significant trauma may be better helped in a clinic setting.
We offer online counselling via zoom for clients who are 18 plus

Online does feel different initially and it can feel a little disconnected to start with, it does sometimes take time to adjust.
It can be helpful to have a short 10 mins before you start to focus on what you want to discuss in your session and a further 10 minutes to decompress and process afterwards.
Switch off alerts on your device as these can be very distracting for you
Check you have enough battery or chargers
If there is more than one of you joining the session think about seating so the clinician can see both of you.
