Theraputic Approach
Louise works within the person-centred modality, providing a safe space for her clients, understanding the power of the therapeutic relationship. She adopts elements of various evidence-based approaches according to the clients needs, such as Psychodynamic therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ensuring that her practice is client-led, non-judgemental and at all times provides warmth, openness, empathy and congruence. Louise has experience of children across the age range and is used to workign with neuro-diversity e.g. children with ADHD, ASD. Her experience working in schools honed her ability to run groups, manage beahviour and teach children to learn strategies to aid emotional regulation. She is trained in social thinking models and offers Cog Med Programme as an approach to supporting memory and improving attention.
Louise supports children and young people experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, relationship issues, anger management, poor self-esteem, identity issues (gender and sexuality) and traumatic experiences.

Louise grew up on a tiny, beautiful island called Jersey in-between England and France.
Originally training to become a teacher and working within a SEN school, she realised her passion for encouraging and supporting positive well-being and mental health. Training to become a counsellor for the next 5 years, whilst supporting 8 Primary Schools on the Island.
She loves to travel and explore new places and cultures. She also enjoys being in the outdoors, reading, swimming in the sea, exercising and eating!
